Privacy Notice
Last updated: 10 May 2026
1. Who we are
Party with Zoe ("we", "us", "our") is the trading name of the kids' party entertainment business based in Auckland, New Zealand. We act as the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact: zoe@partywithzoe.com.
2. Information we collect
- Booking details — your name, email, phone, child's name and age, party date/time/location, character preference, notes.
- Payment metadata — transaction reference and status (the actual card details are collected and stored by Paddle, not by us).
- Support messages — anything you send us by email or contact form.
- Technical data — basic device, browser and IP information from server logs (used for security and debugging).
3. How we use it
- To accept and fulfil your booking (legal basis: contract performance).
- To contact you about your party and answer questions (contract performance).
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
- To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations (legal obligation).
We don't sell your data and we don't send marketing without your consent.
4. Who we share it with
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance and refund requests. See Paddle's privacy policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers who host our website and database under appropriate security and confidentiality terms.
- Email and analytics tooling we use to operate the business.
- Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers (including Paddle) operate outside New Zealand. Where your data is transferred internationally, we rely on the providers' contractual and technical safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses and equivalent protections) to keep it safe.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations (typically 7 years for tax records). We delete or anonymise data sooner where we no longer need it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it's inaccurate;
- delete it (subject to legal obligations to retain certain records);
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these, email zoe@partywithzoe.com. If you're in New Zealand and unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (encrypted connections, access controls, password hashing) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take security seriously.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies needed for the site and the checkout to work. We don't run advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings — note that disabling essential cookies may break the booking flow.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do.
